A Prayer for Julie D.
Facing Surgery

Connecticut — July 2026
May God’s healing hand be upon her.

“For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord.” — JEREMIAH 30:17
Lord, We come before You today on behalf of Julie. She is facing surgery — and whatever fear or uncertainty she is carrying into that room, we ask that You meet her there. Not in some distant, distant way. Right there. In the waiting. In the preparation. In the moment they count backwards and she has no choice but to let go. Be the peace that passes understanding. Be the steadiness beneath the anxiety. Be the quiet that tells her: I have not left you. We ask for skilled hands, God. Guide the surgeons. Sharpen their focus. Let every person in that room work with precision and care, and let Your hand move through theirs. We ask for healing — not just the closing of a wound, but true restoration. The kind only You can give. Bring her body back to health. Bring her through this and out the other side stronger, whole, and certain that You were with her. And Lord, when she wakes, let the first thing she feels be peace. Let the first thing she knows be that she is not alone. We believe You are the God who heals. We are standing on that belief today, for Julie. Amen.
