A Prayer for the Loneliness No One Sees

For those who feel invisible and profoundly alone — even in a crowded life

Comfort

▶ Listen in English

God, I'm lonely in a way that's hard to explain — not just alone, but invisible, like I could disappear and no one would notice for days. I smile through conversations and come home to a quiet that sits on my chest like something heavy. Sometimes I wonder if something is wrong with me, if I'm too broken or too dull or too much to ever be truly known. I don't want to be fixed or pitied — I want to be seen, really seen, the way You say You see me. So I'm holding onto that today: the part of me that still believes You know my name, that You haven't forgotten where I am. Teach me to receive Your presence as real company, not just consolation, and lead me, in Your time, to the people who will know me by heart. But until then, sit with me in this quiet. I don't need answers right now. I just need You here. Amen.

Reflection

Psalm 25:16 whispers this same ache: 'Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.' You are not the first person to bring loneliness before God — the Psalms are full of it, and Jesus Himself cried out from a cross surrounded by people who didn't truly know Him. His presence doesn't erase the need for human connection, but it is the steady ground beneath it — the proof that being fully known is possible, because He has already done it.

Ahora mismo no necesito respuestas. Solo te necesito aquí. Amén.
