Verse 1:
I know the roads you've traveled down
The ones that promised more than they could give
I watched you leave and I called your name
Into the dust, into the wind
I am not angry — I am waiting
Standing at the edge of every choice you make
Chorus:
Come back to Me
I'll meet you in the wilderness
I'll turn your valley into open doors
Come back to Me
Not as a stranger, not in shame
But as the one I've always loved before
Come back to Me
Verse 2:
You've worn yourself down chasing things
That shimmer bright but leave you cold inside
I've been the voice beneath the noise
The ache you couldn't name at night
I'm not a contract, I'm a covenant
My love was never based on what you've done
Chorus:
Come back to Me
I'll meet you in the wilderness
I'll turn your valley into open doors
Come back to Me
Not as a stranger, not in shame
But as the one I've always loved before
Come back to Me
Bridge:
Even there, I planted vines
Even there, your name was Mine
Every road you tried to run
Circled back to where you're from
This is not the end of you
This is where I make things new
Come back, come back, come back to Me
Chorus:
Come back to Me
I'll meet you in the wilderness
I'll turn your valley into open doors
Come back to Me
Not as a stranger, not in shame
But as the one I've always loved before
Come back to Me

Verso 1:
Conozco los caminos que has recorrido
Los que prometieron más de lo que daban
Te vi partir y llamé tu nombre
Entre el polvo, entre el viento
No estoy enojado — estoy esperando
De pie al borde de cada decisión que tomas
Coro:
Vuelve a Mí
Te encontraré en el desierto
Convertiré tu valle en puertas abiertas
Vuelve a Mí
No como extraño, no con vergüenza
Sino como aquel a quien siempre amé
Vuelve a Mí
Verso 2:
Te has agotado persiguiendo cosas
Que brillan fuerte pero te dejan vacío
He sido la voz debajo del ruido
El dolor que no podías nombrar en la noche
No soy un contrato, soy un pacto
Mi amor nunca dependió de lo que hiciste
Coro:
Vuelve a Mí
Te encontraré en el desierto
Convertiré tu valle en puertas abiertas
Vuelve a Mí
No como extraño, no con vergüenza
Sino como aquel a quien siempre amé
Vuelve a Mí
Puente:
Incluso allí, planté viñas
Incluso allí, tu nombre era Mío
Cada camino que intentaste correr
Regresaba al lugar de donde viniste
Esto no es el fin para ti
Aquí es donde hago nuevas las cosas
Vuelve, vuelve, vuelve a Mí
Coro:
Vuelve a Mí
Te encontraré en el desierto
Convertiré tu valle en puertas abiertas
Vuelve a Mí
No como extraño, no con vergüenza
Sino como aquel a quien siempre amé
Vuelve a Mí
The Scripture Behind This Song
Hosea 14:1-2
"Return, Israel, to the Lord your God. Your sins have been your downfall! Take words with you and return to the Lord."
God's instruction through Hosea is striking: come back with words. Not with fixed behavior or full repentance yet — just with words. The invitation is to begin with honesty.
Luke 15:17-18
"When he came to his senses... he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him."
The prodigal's return begins with coming to himself — recognizing where he was and where he could be. The song's "come back to me" is the voice of the father who was already watching.
Revelation 3:20
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in."
The posture of God in this verse is remarkable: He is the one knocking. Not waiting to be sought out — actively pursuing, standing at the door, calling.
